Staying fit and well can seem difficult and mundane, especially if you are already out of shape. Perhaps what you need is something different that will both inspire and motivate you, holistically or better yet—"whole - istically". That is, to address not only your diet and physical activity but also to improve your "whole" situation— your "whole" person.
In all my years as a professional massage therapist, I have seen many people transform their lives for the better. Turning to a professional who can provide relief from stress, pain, and anxiety can be extremely helpful and healing. Unfortunately, when a session is over, the recipient needs to go back to the outside world. This brings to mind a profound but simple statement, made by a simple but profound teacher: "Give a man a fish and you will feed him for a day… Teach that man to fish and you feed him for life." The point is that the best changes occur when a person takes control of his or her own life.
That being said, I offer coaching in various strategies and disciplines, based on my holistic background, which has been immensely helpful to my clients for many years. Simply put, I am a holistic personal trainer who provides instruction and consultation in Tai Chi, Yoga, Meditation, Stress Management, Diet and Nutrition, and far much more. Part of my strategy for wellness is mixing fun with exercise, so I also lead hiking and walking tours as well as Zen-style retreats that are as equally entertaining as they are enriching.
Customized to each individual, this coaching can be as big as a full-fledged wellness-training program or as simple as a short consultation on how to reduce stress. Perhaps, you would like a personal coach on how to meditate or some book recommendations that, if taken, would bring you closer to your goals. When it comes to fun, massage training for couples is a great way to enliven a relationship. If your goals were of a more spiritual nature, I will be honored to accompany and to assist you on that personal and amazing journey.
